Is there a rule for fitting horse boots?
I got new classic equine legacy horse boots (large). My brother has shown me how to put them on before and fit them, but I forgot and he doesn’t come out that much with me. If you could tell me how to put them on and/ or tell me how to make sure they fit correct. Like if they are to loose or to tight. Please help.
I’ll attempt to explain this.
So lay the boot out in front of you with the straps facing YOUR left. A key thing to remember for all boots is that the straps must always always be facing the horses rear or else you have it on backwards.
So stand on the side of your horse’s leg and when your standing on the SIDE of your horse’s leg put the black part of the boot “behind” the horses leg. Then pull your straps, or however they secure. IF your straps are not facing the horses rear then you have them on backwards. The black part of the boot gets smaller than bigger, the bigger part should always be facing down.
If you really have no idea how to put these boots on, then I would strongly recommend not even putting them on. Your horse will be better off with a leg un protected than a boot put on wrong.
