What color boots should I wear if my tack is all black?
My horse is bay, all of her tack is black. Should I wear black or brown boots? I ride english. I can’t decide what would look best? Should I match the saddle or contrast?
Absolutely black boots. It’s not a matter of matching or contrasting with the saddle – and in any event, traditionally tack is brown. (Not to say black isn’t fun!) Tall boots are almost uniformly black, and anything else will stick out as strange, and maybe not in a good way.
Of course, that’s for showing. If you’re just riding at home, on the trails, or whatever, do what you want!
